Refresher Course

Foundations & Frameworks Training can be reviewed by participants through the refresher course. Once a school adopts Foundations & Frameworks, teachers begin using the instructional reading program in their classrooms. After using the program in the classroom teachers may become more effective by reviewing elements from Foundations & Frameworks Basic Training.

A pre-requisite to Foundations & Frameworks Refresher Course is the completion of Foundations & Frameworks Basic Training and instructing a minimum of one Foundations & Frameworks unit.

  • The refresher course can be tailored to your school’s specific needs and is conducted online using the internet and a few computer requirements.

  • Each review course is led by a Foundations & Frameworks Specialist and is 90 minutes in duration.

  • Additionally, participants may contribute to a Q&A session.

  • Also, your school will receive color handouts in advance of the refresher course to use for note-taking during the session.

  • There are currently five sessions offered in the refresher course. The topics include: Visual Tools, Small Groups, Vocabulary, Early Childhood Beginning Reading and Instructive Feedback & Assessment.

  • Each participant completing a session receives a professional development certificate notating clock hours.
